Fish in the Azores

AQUA is hosting a three-day gastronomic event – Fish in the Azores – from 5 p.m. to midnight (30 September to 1 October) in the multipurpose pavilion of the São Miguel Agricultural Association. The aim is to promote fish from the Azores, with a special focus on species of low commercial value. At this event, held as part of the GAL Pesca – Mar Açoresoriental projects and co-financed by MAR2020, participants will be able to attend show cooking sessions and tastings with regional chefs, such as Claudio Pontes, as well as leading chefs from the national gastronomic scene: Chakall, Paulo Morais, Patrícia Borges and Roberto Mezzapelle. During the three days, participants will be able to sample various fish dishes, including sushi, prepared by chefs representing four establishments (three restaurants and a gourmet tavern) participating in this first edition: AQUABar, A Colmeia, Botequim Açoriano and Mercado da Vila.

SHOWCOOKING

The show cooking will be broadcast live to the venue. However, there is an area next to the Chef’s table where entry is free and there is a maximum capacity of 30 people.

Tastings
