AQUA
The AQUA cooperative was founded with the aim of generating synergies between players operating in the region’s sea, in order to create sustainable value in communities linked to the sea, especially fishing communities.
As Rabo de Peixe is the largest fishing community in the region and its fishing port is also the largest in the archipelago, it is of paramount importance to create synergies between the players in this port, so that the cooperative can provide services of interest to all.
In addition to the sale of merchandising and handicrafts (click on the SALES button above) – which promotes the local community culturally – AQUA provides seaweed storage and waste collection services – recycling.
Waste Collection
When vessels return from sea, as well as following their work activities on land, they deposit their waste selectively in a designated area.
